BOLD PLAN
Jason Brodeur: On Florida’s Most Important Issues
Guiding Philosophy – My goal is to ensure next generation understand our nation’s founding principles by shaping public policy that reflects our constitutional framework of limited government.
Tax-Fair Tax will help reduce the embedded costs of our current tax code and reduce the cost of compliance which will further help in expanding the economy and creating jobs. For more info on Fair Tax (www.fairtax.org)
Health Care - The current federal administration is just plain wrong about health care. I support Attorney General Bill McCollum in his crusade against federal government intervention into our health care.
Economy – We MUST bring new jobs to central Florida by eliminating over-burdensome government bureaucracy that keeps high-paying jobs out of central Florida.
Education – Access to a world class education are the keys to success for our children. I don’t think that’s too much to ask. I also believe we must respect a parent’s right to choose which schools will best serve their children.
Ethics – I will never embarrass the citizens of District 33. I will govern using the principles of Ronald Reagan: faith, family and the American spirit. Now, more than ever, ethical citizens are needed in elected office to be honest with everyone about all the inner workings of government.
Family – Strong, traditional family values are central to our society. I am a Christian who is pro-life and believes in the sanctity of marriage between a man and a woman. I will always vote to enhance the traditional American family and its power to raise children.
Fiscal Conservatism - I will never vote to raise your property taxes. Period.
Second Amendment – Our founding fathers believed we should have the right to own weapons. I will fight to protect your rights in Tallahassee. If guns are criminal, only criminals will have guns, and law abiding gun owners and their families will be less safe.
Rule of Law – Courts should be adequately funded so that our citizens and our business owners feel comfortable in the safety of Florida. Our civil justice system should fairly enforce and respect private property rights.
Jason Brodeur for Florida House District 33.
