After years of working side-by-side with some of Florida's best leaders, I believe I am ready to represent our community in Tallahassee. We face an enormous challenge not only from the economy but from our current Federal administration. Human nature has not changed since the last election - bureaucrats and politicians cannot run private companies better than entrepreneurs and business people. Government can't spend your money better than you can. Yet the political "elites" continue to see centralization and regulation as the cure to what ails us. I see it differently.
Government can't give anyone anything that it doesn't first take from someone else. Jobs are created when business owners keep more of their money so they can reinvest in their business. We can attract jobs through free market solutions. I believe government should prioritize spending and cut unneeded bureaucracy. We all have to live with less these days, government should too.
In addition to our economic concerns, I think we can improve our schools by empowering parents and teachers to make more decisions in our children's education. The best decisions are made closest to the people and should handled that way. I will also defend time-honored American values and the sanctity of life. The center of America is the family and it's important we recognize it for the source of strength that it is.
I am running for the State House of Representatives because I want to help shape the future of the district that defined the person I am today. In order to keep our district a great place to live, I need your support. Thank you and I look forward to meeting with you soon.

Florida State Lodge, President
“As a successful businessman, Jason Brodeur will bring a common sense approach to Tallahassee. Florida needs more leaders who will fight for free market principles, and that why the Florida Chamber of Commerce is proud to endorse Jason for the Florida House.”-Adam Babington, Vice President of Governmental Affairs.
From Floridachamber.com:
“Established in 1916 as Florida’s first statewide business advocacy organization, the Florida Chamber is the state’s most powerful federation of employers, chambers of commerce and associations, representing more than 139,000 grassroots members with more than 3 million employees. The Florida Chamber unites Florida’s business community with its powerful combination of legislative, grassroots, and political tools.
The Florida Chamber aggressively works within the legislative, judicial, and executive branches of state government to advocate legislation critical to the continued improvement of Florida’s business climate and sustained economic development across the state. n 1936, the Florida Chamber acted on behalf of 337 members. Today, the Florida Chamber is one of the largest state chambers in the country. The scope of commitment of the membership in addressing the needs of the state has broadened as well. Your Chamber was responsible for the first tourism advertising budget of $100,000 in 1923. Over the years, the Chamber has played a major role in the areas of taxation, transportation, right-to-work, lawsuit abuse reform, growth management, economic development, international trade and in a number of other activities when the voice of business should be heard. Through the years of progress, the basic philosophy of business people involved in the Florida Chamber has remained the same: working collectively to solve problems and make our state a better place to live and work for all Floridians.
The Florida Chamber is committed to fighting for jobs and defeating legislation threatening Florida’s free enterprise system.”

“Jason is a tireless worker who will stand proudly behind the men and women that protect us on a daily basis. Jason brings energy and enthusiasm to a campaign that is rarely seen. He will make a great state representative and will serve the resident of District 33 with distinction.” -Vincent L. Champion, President of the Coastal Florida PBA.

I am thrilled to receive the endorsement of US Senator George LeMieux today.
U.S. Senator George LeMieux (R-FL) today gave his endorsement to the campaign of Jason Brodeur for Florida State House, District 33.
Senator LeMieux said:
“Jason is the right candidate in this race. He shares my passion for fiscal responsibility and commonsense solutions for the issues affecting Florida’s families. Jason’s conservative values are especially important given the challenges affecting Florida’s families. He understands government does not hold the solution to every problem and that we should work to eliminate waste and redundancy in existing government agencies.
“Jason knows Florida can once again be a place where we can work and grow our economy and has specific solutions around de-regulation to help attract the jobs Florida needs.”
Thank you to Senator LeMieux and for all he is doing to try to coordinate clean up of the oil spill and to help all of those affected in the Gulf region.
It’s not surprising to me that the President has failed to implement common sense solutions to the oil spill. This disaster only highlights what many of us have feared for so long, which is that his lack of executive experience may one day cost us dearly – and that certainly seems to be the case.
The solution to the spill is, in its simplest terms, a two-fold operation. Step one is to stop the flow and step two is to clean the mess. Step one is being handled by the engineers who have developed the potential solutions. Step two could be handled months ago (we are now in day 65 of the spill) by employing simple skimmers to go clean the oil. But we aren’t doing that for fear they might be needed somewhere else. As US Senator George LeMieux (FL-R) has quipped “that’s like not sending the fire department to your burning house because they might need to respond to another fire.”
The US has over 2000 oil skimmers available for use, yet as of today only 20 of them are being used in the Gulf. There are skimmer boat operations on the west coast of Florida that have yet to be called by the administration. I think there’s a reason for this: the solution looks a lot like hard work.
As has been demonstrated by Obama’s economist and others at the top of his administration, these academics believe that you can think your way out of a problem. It’s as though they are waiting for a brilliant idea to emerge and clean it all up in one fell swoop. In the mean time, wildlife and local economies are dying every day.
Obama’s economics team believed they could think their way out the economy by providing a stimulus package that has largely failed to this point, most notably in Florida with unemployment over 10%.
Rather than releasing all of the regulations that hinder job growth they are considering another round of “stimulus.” Similarly, instead of employing the skimmers immediately Obama seems to be content to play golf and wait for a brilliant idea to fall out of the sky.
The time has come to stop with the slogans and platitudes and to put on a pair of overalls and get to work. It’s time to employ all of the skimmers. Now. We need to do this before it is too late and Florida loses its most precious resource.

“Jason Brodeur is committed to limited government and working to ensure that bureaucrats don’t come between patients and physicians. We can count on Jason to stand by Florida’s physicians as we continue to work every day to prevent an access to care crisis and craft common-sense policies that protect patients and the physicians who provide their care.

I am pleased to announce today that I have been endorsed by BusinessForce, which is Florida’s largest regional Political Action Committee and is part of Orlando, Inc – formerly the Orlando Chamber of Commerce.
“Without question, Jason will bring a pro-business agenda to Tallahassee to help our struggling region. His business experience gives us confidence that he knows how to create an environment for job creation to help drive our economy.”said Mike Ketchum, President of BusinessForce.
In a tough economy it is an honor and a pleasure to be supported by an organization that represents over 10,000 businesses and their tens of thousands of employees. I hope to be able to create an environment that gets all of Central Florida back to work in jobs that will help drive our local economy. Part of their mission is to help elect those that support the free enterprise system and sound, responsible business practices. As someone who has worked in big business and in small business, I will always be mindful that the free enterprise system is what has made America the most prosperous country in the world.
Thank you again to BusinessForce, its Board members and all of its members for their confidence in me.
Thank you! Excited to get started. RT @CoronaCigarCo: @jasonbrodeur Congrats on the win! 2010-11-03
